Historic Jekyll Island
Once-private retreat of 19th century America’s wealthiest industrialists such as Rockefeller, Morgan, Vanderbilt and Pulitzer, Jekyll Island offers 10 miles of sun-drenched beachfront along the Atlantic Ocean. One of the Georgia’s Golden Isles, the island is largely undeveloped and retains an unhurried, coastal charm
Beach Services
Our Beach Concierge will help you make the most of our pristine stretch of ocean front Jekyll Island paradise. Reserve beach chairs and umbrellas for your own place in the sun, or relax like a rock-star in our overstuffed, canopied beach loungers with a cool beverage.
Golf and More
Explore the Jekyll Island Historic District, the winter retreat for America’s elite or get out and about with 63 holes of golf, an outdoor tennis complex, the Summer Waves Water park, a fishing pier, Jekyll Island dolphin tours, horseback riding tours, nature centers, or 20 miles of bike trails.
Nature, Unspoiled
Jekyll’s undeveloped nature also makes the island a perfect spot for wildlife viewing, particularly shorebirds. Sea turtles nest on the island’s beaches, and Jekyll is home to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, a family favorite for learning more about these fascinating creatures that have nested here for hundreds of years.
Park Entry and Parking Fees
Vehicle entry onto Jekyll Island requires a valid parking pass which must be purchased at the entry gate or Guest Information Center upon arrival on the island. This pass gives you access to many of the island’s public outdoor areas, including picnic areas, beach parking and access points, playground, soccer complex, historic landmark district, fishing pier, bicycle and nature trails and more. The Parking Fee is charged per vehicle per day. Multi-day and annual passes are available. Bicycles and pedestrians can enter at no charge.
